March 17th 2006 not only marked the first offically recognised Saint Patrick's Day in Croatia or her neighbours, but also the official re-launch of the new Knin Rugby Club.  At a ceremony in Knin Town Hall President of the club, Deputy Mayor Mr. Frano Kristo, accepted the gift of equipment from the President of the Dalmatian Rugby Union Mr. Tonci Citanovic.  In her welcoming speech to Hiberno Director Mr. Alan Moore, the Mayoress, Mrs. Josipa Rimac, promised to do whatever possible to help the develoment of rugby in the town.

Nada Split Representative Mr. Ivan Vidic spoke of the importance of rugby in continuing to foster interaction between the different ethnic groups in Knin while current Dinara Football Club coach Mr. Miroslav Calic, always a great help to rugby in Knin, promises to ensure smooth operations between the football and rugby needs in the town.
